We create and execute custom meals and gatherings and share our love of ingredients while paying attention to the details that make our events special. Our personal chef and event services allow you to spend quality time with the people you care about.
With the addition of FOODsmith Prep, our brick and mortar location nestled in the heart of Eagle, Colorado we are able to provide both cooking classes taught by expert chefs and a retail location for “made in Eagle” – Mountain Flour desserts, FOODsmith take-and-heat meals, locally sourced ingredients, and unique culinary gifts. Guests can enjoy either group classes or private events in our learning kitchen, or shop our storefront for handcrafted meals to enjoy at home, “chef curated” gifts and special hard to find ingredients.

I went to a Wedding and ended up at a Groundbreaking culinary innovation workshop!! I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the absolutely outstanding culinary experience you provided at Jamie and Alec’s wedding this past Saturday. From the moment the first appetizer was served to the wedding cake, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality, creativity, and deliciousness of every dish. The lobster was incredible as was the beef tenderloin. It was evident that a great deal of care and skill went into the preparation of each element of the menu. The presentation was also impeccable, adding an elegant touch to the entire event. Beyond the taste, the variety and thoughtful combinations of flavors and textures were truly delightful and showcased your talent beautifully. Your staff was amazing. Thank you for contributing so significantly to the success and enjoyment of this special occasion. Your culinary expertise truly elevated the event, and I will certainly remember this wonderful dining experience.
I cannot say enough good things about Allana and her team. Not only was it the best food we have had in a while it was all within the comfort of our home which was priceless. The quality of time spent with family enjoying incredible food was a luxury I have never experienced. Everyone at dinner was absolutely floored by the food quality and best of all the delivery Allana would give a brief description about the ingredients which was a wonderful addition while still giving our family time to celebrate. Everything was perfect and we cannot recommend her and her team enough.
My family bought a catered lunch donated by Allana Smith at a fund raising auction for Eagle County Education Foundation. Allana was so easy to work with. An outstandingly fresh and delicious lunch arrived on my door step on the day. Lunch was delivered in great disposable containers all ready to warm up, including a Caesar Salad to put together with all the fixings, a magnificent fruit cobbler with custom ice cream. It made hosting my Book Club lunch so easy, and the generous amounts of food provided splendid meals for the next 2 days! Thank you Allana for your skill and kindness.
FOODsmith catered our family reunion last month and did a phenomenial job before, during and after the event. Allana was very easy to work with on the menu and offered creative suggestions to satisfy everyone's potential dietary restrictions and tastes. The menu pulled in locally sourced seasonal foods which made it special to all of the out of town guests. The FOODsmith team was amazing during the event, serving food that EVERYONE loved and raved about. The buffet was beautiful and their attention to detail was flawless all evening! After the event we enjoyed the leftovers they boxed up for us. We highly recommend them and plan to use then in the future!
Allana and her team added the perfect touch to our tiny wedding in Edwards,CO. The food and service was above our expectations. She helped us through out the menu planning process and even provided a few dinner rentals that matched perfectly with our theme. Also, her husband owns a bakery and made us the most beautiful wedding cake. Working with them was the best decision! I highly recommend FOODSMITH if you're planning a party or wedding.
Thank you Allana and crew for helping me get through the 2020 holidays! With a houseful of family from out of town, Allana dropped many delicious dishes that I could just heat up and serve. Gave me a welcome and delicious break! We have enjoyed Foodsmith's catering and their creative menus with our POD as well. They make it so easy to entertain!
Chef Allana provided prepared meals for our group during our ski week in Vail. This experience ended up being more enjoyable than dining out in restaurants. Why? Simply because Allana’s food is exceptional. She prepared gourmet dinners, BBQ and chili for lunches and breakfasts and desserts for our group. Everything is handmade, including the desserts and ice cream. Every bite was delicious and it was like having our own private chef! Once I found out Allana used to be a chef at one of our favorite restaurants in Napa Valley I knew we were in good hands. Another advantage to using Chef Allana is that it was cost effective for our group. We will definitely use Chef Allana again on our next trip and I highly recommend her!
Shawn and Allana can certainly prepare any type of food, I just prefer healthy as well as fresh local produce. For years they have prepared tailored food for my family that is first of all delicious beyond words but also dairy and gluten free. Shawn is a baker extraordinaire and also makes his own gelato and ice creams that are fabulous ( for my guests and family that eat this). Allana's salads are always the highlight of the meal for me, as she has many and always with homemade vinaigrettes. They do a fabulous cocktail hour with unlimited choices of appetizers. What I appreciate most is that they will always cater to specific diets and needs of their clients. They are wonderful people that are like family and no summer in Beaver Creek or visit would be as stress free if not for their meals, both catered and delivered.
Hi Allana, I wanted to thank you again for the amazing meal and service for our wedding. Every single person told me how great the food was starting with the appetizers and ending with Shawn’s wonderful cake. As one person said, “it was like eating at an amazing restaurant, not some standard catered wedding where the food is so forgettable.” It took so much stress away from us knowing everything was handled and that we didn’t need to worry about anything.
